In Sweden there is a mix between private companies, municipal corporations and foundations that
own and supply student accommodation. There is considerable variation within and between cities regarding the ownership. It’s worth noting that for the student the differences in ownership don’t matter. Rent levels, contracts, standards, etc. are affected by other aspects than ownership of the student house.
